Economic Aspirations and Policy Priorities

On 2nd January, a consultation meet was organized by Samriddhi, The Prosperity Foundation on three research papers, namely, ‘Possibility of Multiple Buyers in Hydro power sector in Nepal’, ‘Promoting Cordial Industry Relations in Nepal’ and ‘Reforming Public Enterprises in Nepal’ at Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole. Experts gave in constructive inputs pertaining to their corresponding fields of expertise.

Samriddhi conducted different consultation meetings in Biratnagar, Birgunj, Pokhara, Nepalgunj and Kathmandu throughout the month of March. These meetings were organized to learn about the economic aspirations of Nepalese living in different parts of the country and to identify policy priorities based on those aspirations. CA members, local level political and business leaders, journalists and lawyers showed up with active participation.

Similarly, a report sharing and round table discussion meet on ‘Economic Aspirations and Policy Priorities’ was held at Hotel Radisson, Lazimpat on 27th of May, 2014, moderated by Mr. Robin Sitoula. The objective was to discuss on what could be done to take the agendas in the report forward.
