Samriddhi Foundation hosted an interaction series with Honorable Industry Minister Mr. Mahesh Basnet with representatives of multinationals on Foreign Direct Investment at Hotel Shangri-La on the 17th of October 2014. The Interaction focused on challenges MNCs/JVs face in bringing and retaining investments in Nepal.
The participants expressed grave concerns when it came to retaining investment in the country due to problems brought upon by political instability. Problems were raised, curiosities answered and recommendations and suggestions were offered as to what the government could do to create a better investment environment, that would eventually lead to prosperity. The Minister listened to concerns and vowed to try and implement valid suggestions in upcoming days.
