Samriddhi Learns How to Track Government Commitments

Samriddhi learns how to track government commitments

Ali Salman, Executive Director at Islamabad based think tank Policy Research Institute of Market Economy (PRIME), Pakistan, was at Samriddhi for 4 days (September 2-5, 2014) to share his experience on coming up with a very effective tool to hold governments accountable. Since July 2013, PRIME started The Manifesto Tracking project to hold the democratically elected government accountable to its promises and the tracking report, also known as Scorecard, has become a very successful tool that has been acknowledged and appreciated by the Prime Minister himself. We at Samriddhi were very keen on learning the methodology of the report and exploring the possibilities of developing a scorecard to track the Nepalese government’s progress on the commitments it had made.
