Samriddhi, The Prosperity Foundation invited Professor Christopher Lingle to teach students on  Migration, Economic Growth and Free Market Economy.

Christopher Ligle is visiting professor of economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala, Adjunct Scholar at the Centre for Independent Studies(Sydney), Research Scholar at the Centre for Civil Society(New Delhi) and Member of the Academic Advisory Council of the Globalization Institute(Brussels). His book on the political economy of Singapore’s development is entitled Singapore’s Authoritarian Capitalism: Asian Values, Free Market Illusions, and Political Dependency.

Professor Christopher Lingle visited Apex College and White House Graduate School of Management on January 6, 2015 to share his learning with MBA students. Prof. Lingle shared insights on how migration and free market economy are inter-related and how they contribute to economic growth. The free market economy increases migration that brings  entrepreneurship and labour forces. Learning from this, many countries have formed alliances to ease migration. We can see United States benefiting from migration as a significant proportion of economy rise is mainly driven by immigrants.

The session concluded with the questions and answers from Prof. Lingle and the students.
