Liberty Discussion for the month of November was held on November 25th, 2022 at Samriddhi Foundation. Discussion was based on the article “Unequal votes: The undemocratic election system of Nepal” by Sindhuj Thapa. The participants discussed the recently held election of the constituent assembly in the country and if the number of constituencies truly represent the voters in the country. Also, based on the ongoing counting of the votes, the participants also discussed the rise of youth in the election and how it might impact policy making in the country. The conversation among the participants also revolved around which political party might win the election and how a coalition government cannot be avoided for the next 5 years with the rise of new political parties in the country.
