Samriddhi Foundation ranked one of the Best Independent Think Tanks

Samriddhi Foundation is ranked 116th out of 144 in 2019 Best Independent Think Tanks in the 2019 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, released by The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Often referred to as the “think tanks’ think tank”, TTCSP works with leading scholars and policy practitioners to produce the report.

The report recognized Samriddhi as one of the 2019 Top Domestic Economic Policy Think Tanks, ranking 137th out of 144 think tanks. Samriddhi also secured the 63rd position in Top Transparency and Good Governance Thinks Tanks, which included 66 other think tanks across the world. In the regional ranking category,  Samriddhi ranked 96th out of 107 think tanks in the Top South and Southeast Asia and the Pacific (excluding India).

Along with Samriddhi, Centre for Economic Development and Administration (CEDA), Institute for Social and Environmental Transition (ISET-N), Centre for Nepal and Asian Studies (CNAS), Nepal South Asia Centre (NESAC), Nepal Economic Forum (NEF), Sajha Foundation, Center For South Asian Studies(CSAS), and Nepal Consortium for South Asian Think Tanks have been included in Top Think Tanks in South and Southeast Asia and the Pacific (excluding India) category. Likewise, Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) is recognized in the category of 2019 Top Food Security Think Tanks.

This year’s Global Go To Think Tank Index Report is the 14th edition of the report that examines the evolving role and characteristics of public policy research organizations and acknowledges the important contributions and emerging global trends of think tanks worldwide. The index cataloged 8,248 think tanks worldwide with inputs from over 3,974 plus journalists, policymakers, public and private donors, and area specialists from around the world.
