The session started with ideas put forward by Anil Parajuli and Pratik Aryal. Firstly, discussion was on why the students chose MBA. Majority responded that MBA is a tool to land at good job position. Only six out of twenty-six students expressed their aspirations to become an entrepreneur. The discussion moved ahead with understanding the culture of entrepreneurship in Nepal and reasons behind low rate of entrepreneurship development.
The session moved ahead with the group task where the students were divided into five groups and were assigned to come up with innovative ideas for their new venture. The first group had an interesting idea of establishing a rental store of party dresses that included traditional outfits. The second group came up with the idea of establishing self-service laundry store at areas that faced water shortage. The third group wanted to commercialize the automated water control system in order to minimize the wastage of water. The fourth group shared the idea of establishing an outsourcing publication house so that there would be easy access to international publications. The fifth group came up with the idea of starting a baby store with facilities of online order and delivery system.
Students actively participated and showed enthusiasm to share their ideas and discuss on possibilities and scenario of entrepreneurship in Nepalese economy.
